Summerdown News!

It is not often we have a 25/1 winner, and certainly not at Southwell. Anyway to a lot of peoples surprise, ABI SCARLET beat the J. Gosden hot favourite (4/11) in a tight finish with the 3rd 12 lengths back. All very satisfactory as she is by our ex-Royal Ascot hero BALTIC KING, and only cost £2K at the Ascot Breeze Up last May! Hopefully the handicapper will give her a realistic rating as the 2nd has not achieved much latterly.

We had a schooling session today as Tom Scudamore kindly dropped in. He rode COUSIN KHEE (pictured winning at Huntingdon) who he was delighted with, and was accompanied by TAIKOO AND NAZREEF who both enjoyed themselves, and are due to run next week, whilst COUSIN KHEE's next outing is yet to be decided.
