2012!

So we are into 2012 with so much to look forward to .... The Diamond Jubilee, the Olympics and of course the Racehorses at Summerdown!  Who knows how this years' two year olds will perform - they are already showing plenty of hope for the future.  With 5 SAKHEE'S SECRETS we dream that they will all be as good as their father!  In contrast to SAKHEE'S SECRET winning distance we have 4 DALAKHANIS not to mention an attractive RAVEN'S PASS filly, 2 PASTORAL PURSUITS and many more.

However it is this years three year olds we have much to look forward to.  COQUET as a listed winner over a mile (won in 2010 by the subsequent Guineas winner) has the pedigree to stay the Oaks distance as does the very attractive Newbury Maiden winner, SHIROCCO STAR - not to forget the very good looking HALLING'S QUEST (& doesn't he know it!) who won his maiden in impressive style - it might only have been at Southwell but he beat the subsequently easy winner, THIRD HALF, (1/2 brother to BROWN PANTHER) by a "pulling up" 8 lengths - PISCO SOUR only won his maiden at Southwell by a neck and he became a G2 winner 11 months later!

The older horses could also be interesting in 2012... PASTORAL PLAYER - an easy winner over 7f - could he get a mile?!  FAIR TRADE a very decent 3 year old who has recovered from injury and could be very exciting, not to mention Royal Ascot winner SAGRAMOR who we expect to bounce back this year and COSIMO DE MEDICI a big handicap winner in the Cesarewitch Trial, could well go on to compete in all the big staying handicaps this season.

So all we wish for in 2012 is a bit of luck, but crucially health and soundness from the whole string....and they must try like CAPTAIN BELLAMY did on Monday!
